Before the gate drops, there’s a moment of silence.

Goggles down. Hands tight on the bars. Heart racing.

For 14-year-old Zoe Goble, racing is more than a sport. It’s discipline, passion, family, resilience, and the daily decision to keep showing up and pushing forward.

Those are the kinds of qualities McRae Enterprises has always respected — because they’re the same qualities that helped build the company itself.

We proudly sponsor the Zoe Goble Race Team, headed up by her mom, Natalie, as they compete throughout the Midwest amateur racing circuit. Often racing alongside her brother as part of a dedicated moto family, Zoe continues to push herself in one of the most physically and mentally demanding youth sports there is.

Over the past two seasons, Zoe has steadily progressed through increasingly competitive events and qualifiers, earning multiple podium finishes throughout the Midwest. Her accomplishments include first-place finishes at Hoosier Hilltoppers, the Scott County Fair, and Wagler MX, along with strong performances in Girls, Women’s, Mini SR, and 85 Open classes across Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio.

Most recently, Zoe advanced through area qualifiers on her path toward the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship — one of the most recognized and competitive amateur racing events in the country.

For McRae CEO Micah McRae, supporting Zoe’s journey is personal.

Having grown up around the sport himself, Micah understands what racing demands from riders and families alike — the long weekends, constant preparation, setbacks, discipline, sacrifice, and commitment required to keep chasing improvement. That shared understanding makes this sponsorship about more than placing a logo on a bike. It’s about supporting young competitors and families who reflect the same competitive spirit and pursuit of excellence that McRae was built on.

But what stands out most about Zoe isn’t just the results.

It’s the mindset behind them.

“I’m capable of doing everything anyone else can do. I just have to get out of my head and ride my ride.”

In many ways, that mindset mirrors lessons learned in racing, construction, business, and life — trust your preparation, focusing on your work, and continuing to move forward even when things get difficult.

In a sport that can feel intensely individual once the gate drops, Zoe says the mentors and people around her make all the difference.

“They almost always come to the gates with me and tell me to ride my ride and race my race,” she shared. “They also help with bike maintenance before racing or riding.”

That support system matters. Riders do not grow alone. Families, coaches, mentors, mechanics, track owners, and communities all play a role in helping young athletes develop the confidence to line up at the gate and compete.

At McRae, we believe communities grow stronger when people invest in the next generation — not just in their success, but in their character, confidence, and future.

For Zoe, having McRae’s support is meaningful.

“It means a lot. It shows that I’m worthy. Micah has been a huge help in my journey. I’m so grateful to have him as a sponsor.”

Zoe’s story is still being written, but one thing is already clear: she represents the kind of determination, humility, resilience, and competitive spirit that continues to inspire the people around her.

And McRae is proud to be part of that journey.
