Shepherdsville, Kentucky
We performed deep foundation and retention work for the Shepherdsville Aquatic Center, helping support the structural demands associated with an Olympic swimming pool.
Although most of this work will remain concealed once the facility is complete, getting it right played an essential role in the success of the construction that followed. Early structural support and retention systems have to be installed with precision because site stability, sequencing, and downstream trades all depended on that work being executed correctly. We also helped guide the approach early, identify potential issues, and address them before they impacted future phases of the project.
Together, these elements formed a reinforced support and retention system designed to stabilize the excavation and prepare the site for continued construction. Soil nail installation, grouting, and shotcrete placement required careful planning, strong field coordination, and consistent execution throughout the project.
Our work helped create the conditions needed for the project to advance with confidence. By reinforcing the site early and helping solve issues before they affected later phases, we supported both the immediate demands of the excavation and the broader success of the build.
This may not be the most visible part of the project, but it is one of the most important.
✔ Reinforced excavation support
✔ Early-phase problem solving
✔ Stronger site readiness for continued construction
✔ Critical support for a major community facility
That’s the real value of deep foundation work: creating the support system that allows everything else above it to succeed.
